From the mind of Alice Tovey, Banshee is a comedy-horror short film that explores how society views women's emotions as at best an inconvenience, at worst the cause of all suffering in the world.
Banshee follows Norman, who has recently moved in with his girlfriend Penny and enjoys a comfortable domestic arrangement until Penny finally snaps over his ongoing lack of contribution to the household. From Norman’s perspective, her femme frustration transforms her into a terrifying banshee, triggering a suburban panic in which he begins to see women everywhere as monstrous.
